"Whatever is being organized, I’m always there. For the fun, of course — but also because it’s a great way to reconnect with other YaWorkers. During these outings, you get to know your colleagues on a deeper level. Which client are you working with? What challenges are you facing? But beyond that, all sorts of other topics come up too — from conversations about home life to just goofing around.
Doing fun things with colleagues is something that can feel forced at other companies. I'm glad that’s not the case here. If you work hard together, it’s only right to enjoy some fun together as well. And that mindset isn’t just reflected in the outings — you see it in how personal development is encouraged too. Over the years, I’ve earned several certifications and attended Cisco Live twice, in Berlin and Las Vegas. I spent over 10 days in Vegas — and of course, it wasn’t all work. It was incredible to be given that opportunity; it’s still one of the best experiences I’ve had.
That combination of professional growth and shared enjoyment is key — it’s how you build real loyalty to a company. Especially at a place like YaWorks. I’m rarely at the office, so I mostly see other YaWorkers when we’re doing something fun. The outings create that sense of connection — they make you feel part of the company. My favorite one? The annual ski trip is always a highlight. From start to finish it’s a blast: hitting the slopes, après-ski, great food, and for those who are up for it, some nightlife after. I really hope the fun always remains a part of the organization. It’s been a big part of what’s made YaWorks so successful."
